On the 3rd September Brendon Smith with was fishing with us in beautiful balmy calm conditions targeting billfish out on the Western Grounds off Broome. It was a fairly slow day and we only managed to tag one Marlin and missed another sailfish that wasn’t too interested in biting. The juvenile Black came in pretty hot and was flying around the spread looking at everything. He ended up hitting a fairly large live bait and to our surprise dropped it. A few seconds later he hit another much smaller bait and proceeded to hook up.  When we got him along side we noticed he was in average condition with skin parasites and had quite a crooked mouth!
